Now a day, organic cosmetics have become very popular, as people are becoming more aware about the harmful effects of chemicals in their products. But all the products claimed to be 'organic' are not necessarily made up of natural ingredients. The manufacturers just add the tag of 'organic' to their products, so that it would sell more and they will be able to earn huge profits.

As there were many unethical and unfair means used by manufacturers to sell their product, the government decided to introduce certification for genuine organic products.
United States Department of Agriculture which is also called as USDA issues certificates only to the products which pass its stringent quality tests. The standards set by them are very high and the product that gets their certificate is one of the best to use it on your skin. They also keep on rechecking the product after every six to eight months and also carry out surprise audits and inspections.
However, all the products that get a certificate are not necessarily safe for your skin. There are many natural products to which I am allergic, for e.g. pollen. So you need to check the ingredients on your cosmetics before buying them. Though the product might be certified, your skin may be allergic to one of its ingredient. Also, there are some local shopkeepers who keep natural cosmetics. These cosmetics may not have a certificate but might be safer to use.
If you are a makeup freak, these cosmetics usually have some tips too. Well, it\'s actually difficult to determine which product is genuine and which is not. So you should always trust your own instincts. Also, certified makeup is also considered the best by many women across the world.
